Why I Believe Christians Should Call For Healthcare Reforms
I have uploaded an essay I wrote, Why I Believe Christians Should Call For Healthcare Reforms. Please do not be afraid of the word "Christian" it is for all readers, not just Christians. I target Christians, because they have some of the strongest opponents.
Since writing this essay I have come accross other reasons why many Christians say that we just can't have universal healthcare. They say that we would have free abortions. I really believe the very opposite is true. Our current system is training people to disregard life. Those who can take having good health insurance for granted are being trained to thumb their noses at people not so lucky. This is what will make abortions and euthanasia skyrocket. Furthermore, women fearing they can't afford medical costs associated with pregnancy and the child to come; they may resort to illegal abortion, the kind that puts the woman's life in danger.
My purpose in this is not to kick those who are pro-choice (abortion is okay). It is to show the ludicrousy of keeping healthcare unaffordable fearing we may make abortions affordable.
I am against abortion, but you please folllow your conscience and go the route you believe to be right. It is to voice why I believe Christians are wrong to oppose universal healthcare.
