1: We were contacted by this lawyer in Karachi, Pakistan. he talked to us for about 20 minutes and then asked for some more details via email.
He tells us that it might be possible for us to immigrage to Canada which would take 8 months or less. will keep you updated.

2: One of our FB friends who works for an NGO here in Islambad is trying to help us out here.. he is wants to have a second meeting with us Wed. hopefully with some news from Human Rights groups who work in Pakistan.. as well as if there is a possibility of finding some work here for US so we can make ends meet.
3: One of our YT friends Leo, introduced us to his brother here in Islamabad and he has been Just wonderful.. He works at a university here.. (riphah Univ) and is trying to get me work here at the Univ.

4: JB from YT informs us that he has contacted a number of other Human Rights organizations in the USA as well as he is trying to get hold of ACLU (he has worked with ACLU on the EL Mesri case) and is very confident that he will get them involved in our situation as well.

All these things are in the Air.. but wanted to give you guys an update.

We are getting about 100 emails / comments a day and we try to answer as many as possible.. but that is very hard!!

we do have a very bad internet connection as well as poweroutages to deal with (poweroutage situation has been not so bad for the past 3 or 4 days. hopfully it is going to stay that way)..

Thank you both for posting this. It's great news to hear. I have been very behind on my youtube viewing because youtube had been acting up for me lately. So I've seen your videos out of order.

I just watched the video today of Hassan describing his ordeal and it angered, and saddened me.
My partner and I moved to Canada last May and we have found that where we choose suits our lifestyle
much better than in the US.

We both really like it here. I will keep posting your videos and update links on my facebook and myspace pages, and spreading the word as much as I can. I hope that through all of us working together we can get you and your family into a more ideal situation.

It is sad what the US government considers "good democracy", but that is of no concern now. hey guys.. update for 2-25-2009..
we went and had dinner with our friend from YT who is here in Pakisatan..
he has already introduced us to a Pakistani guy who has been GREAT and has given us a lot of hope and support here in Pakistan.
today we met with another Pakistani guy who is a Great guy as well.. and he has promised to help..

we sat and talked .. hopefully their efforts will show some fruit....

We will be doing a video by end of day today on YT.. just wanted to wait till we have some solid updates to talk about as well as make the video as close as possible to the INTERVIEW with The Truth Brigade.. which is scheduled for the 26th USA time.

Ok people .. if you are viewing the news about Pakistan ... the Marriot Hotel caught fire etc. we are safe.. we are about 6 miles from it right now...
The thing is that this hotel was just bombed a few months ago.. at that time there was no Fire prevetion system in the hotel.. they just renovated it.. and guess what?... still no fire prevention system here ..

Oh.. on the news as well is that the WHOLE country is shut down due to some political bull crap.. so all the shops are closed in the country..

Update: March 1st. 2009..
nothing much to report as far as any progress in our situation..
WE definitly feel much much more comfortable becuase of the wonderful friends we have met via YT.. and now FB..

Here are acouple of things we would like to mention.. we are getting attention some good some scary..
our tracker on our Blog shows that the DHS has been checking us out. which scares the living daylight out of us.. but now you all know as well...

Also, some congress critter came and stayed on our site for over an hour.. and made 3 seperate vists. hope that is a good thing..

I am so glad to here things could possibly be moving in the right direction. If it wasn't for "Im Just A Girl" I would not have none anything about this. I thank her for it.

But on the flip-side, it really is shame thats the way it had to be.

update Mart 9th 2009:
Not much to report since we did the last update.
Our friend here in Pakistan is trying to get something going here but things are slow.
I am continuing to apply for jobs all over the world but without any luck there.
One thing which is bothers us is that HateMail is increasing (we do delete it all) but that does leave an impression on us and leaves a bad taste in our mouths.
overall the impression is that its very discouraging ..

dont worry people.. this is a political thing.. that means that we will be safe until the govt. leaves the mullahs out of the picture..
In the long run this might be an issue because the present govt. which is as corrupt a govt. as you can find anywhere on earth is trying to crush all opposition (which was part of the most corrupt govt. in the past)..
so these guys want to just keep all the $$ in their pockets..
If the Mullahs get involved then it would be an issue.. but right now they are just in their temples (which they call mosques) yelling their heads off.

not a good day today!!
1: Our friend from Ireland had gotten us an interview at a school for a teachers job.. we went there and seems like that people of this HELL HOLE do not have anything other than INSULT and HUMILIATE anyone and everyone they can.. thats exactly what happened with us there.. The school is located in a House and the Person there "Yasmeen" who is a MATH teacher at HeadStart (nothing to do with the Headstart system in the USA.. they just "Borrowed the name".. Anyway we came home fuming after spending about Rs. 500 on taxi fair.

2: then the Dreaded GAS Bill came which was about Rs. 10,000 (half of that is our share). The LandLord AHole is in league with someone from the Gas company and is stealing from us and makeing money off us. (Last month it was Rs. 12000)

So, if the stress of just living in this HELL HOLE was not enough, we have do deal with the NORMAL CRIMINALS in every single walk of life....

Just wishing and praying that we can get out of here in One Peace somehow.

hi guys.. just an UPDATE!! monday night 3-23-2009..
we did have a very big bombing here in islambad about 5 minutes ago.. it was about 2 miles from our house.. we are safe althought there is smell of explosives in our house.. its a bit hard to breath..

but we re safe.. just wanted to give you an update
