That was a nice email you sent, its been a long day and I am burnt. So I have your cheat ya out of a response for today. But will do in style tomorrow =)
Well, I did see Jurrassic Park once, so I'd be willing to give cloning a try.
Drain pipes aren't too difficult. Hopefully it's a PVC drain pipe, because then it's pretty simple. If not, there might be a way to replace that section with PVC anyway.
Windows look like a bitch. I just saw a how to on installing windows. It doesn't look too, too hard. A lot of measureing and squaring, though. Shimming it where needed to square it up, that kind of crap.
The big box hardware stores each have their own handy DIY general manuals on things around the house. They probably cover windows. If not, it shouldn't be too hard to find a manual that includes a window how-to. You will want to get another person to help you with the removal of the originals and the lifting and setting of the new one, though.
New windows are a good thing. They will reduce your expenditures for heating and cooling.
Oh, pipe replacement isn't too bad... unless it involves brazing... I've never done brazing. I've been through a lot of this home repair/renovation crap before. I've tiled, I've painted, I was even forced to wallpaper once (I despise wallpaper), I've insultated and sheetrocked, wired... fun stuff.
This spring I'll get more of the insulating and sheetrocking experience. We're going to gut this place room by room and reinsulate and replace the plaster walls with sheetrock.
Have lots of regular and power tools available. We went with a bigger sink than the one we had before (we didn't measure) so there was lots of cutting and attempting to install... then more cutting and trying again... then more cutting and some dremel work... it took about 7 hours to get the goddamn thing in.
A little preparation could have helped us.

Yep. It's a sad, sad world when a majority of people surfing the web choose to use substandard, insecure browsers like IE when things like Firefox (with its infinite number of add-ons to make websurfing more amusing and easier) is available free of charge and it's easy to install and use.
Random tip of the day: Installing a new kitchen sink is a pain in the ass. If you ever have to do it, just call a goddamn plumber. It'll save you time and frustration.
I've got Firefox too. But it's set up for Tor, so it's all but useless for anything more than just browsing sites. I'd like to find a non-Chrome, non-Internet Exploder third option, but it's not high on my list of priorities right now... and it would probably be like Opera, with most sites hating it anyway.
Huh, just noticed the Pine Ridge song. Ever been there? I spent a bit of time there, after I participated in the Lakota naming ceremony and was adopted into, it was time to meet the rest of the family =)
