I am writing to a comment that "biofuels" are bad, unsustainable etc:
WVO is "Waste Vegitable Oil". It is just that, waste, used material. WVO fuels and Biodiesel refined from WVO is a bonus that we can extract from the refuse of America's love of fried foods.
You seem to have bought into the propaganda campaign funded by BP and Chevron that "Biofuels are unsustainable" or that they take food out of the eating cycle. That's hogwash. The overwhelming force of the heavily Taxpayer-subsidized co…

Same ol' same ol' for the Times, Cheney and the American sheeple.
Judith Miller was the NY Times correspondent that passed through, without any verification or actual journalism work, the Cheney/ Libby leaked disinformation on CIA agent Valerie Plame, Bogus Aluminum tubes in Iraq, false stories of Yellow cake from Niger and much more in pursuit of a reason to take over Iraq.
Judith Miller was forced to leave the Times in disgrace and was held in contempt of court and jailed for months for "nob…

It amazes me that so many self described "Progressives" also label themselves as pragmatists and fall in line with the Democratic-corporate-party line that we must compromise or move to the "center" and vote for a "lesser Evil" and not "waste our votes" (on someone that "can't win") all in the name of "winning".
Jesus the Christ (of 2000 years ago fame) was crucified by a majority and subsequently hailed as savior by a majority post mortem. Now I don't preach the words of any religion. But this…

In the words of the "Great" (in size?) Michael Moore:
Let's HOPE that Obama will be like all other Politicians and fail to keep all of his campaign promises (to Corporations, medical profiteers, military profiteers and international power brokers) once elected".
And progressives fell right in line with this line of logic and enabling..
What a thing to watch as the far left, which has been all but silenced in most American Media, was said to be "unelectable" by the so-called Democratic Party. Tn…

Some time ago, after reading an array of books on nutrition, food additives and corporate crime, I came to the realization that there are several food ingredients that have been officially approved by the US Food and Drug Administration that wouldn't pass muster in most other modern countries due to their health risks.
The FDA has a roster of employees that rotate in and out of corporate America, in between influencing our food policies from both inside and out.
The current greed-over-all-else…

This new Administration was elected, at least in part, based on an unqualified pledge for "Change" and a clarion call for something most Americans had lost and longed for, "Hope".
By carefully sidestepping and tangible description of what form of change he plans to bring, he left us with the equally ambiguous Hope.
(Change is defined as, better or worse, anything different from the current situation.
I can personally guarantee we will see a change or two or three. Perhaps, that would have quali…

The concept of a third party candidate making a Constitutionally guaranteed campaign for the Presidency being an effort to thwart the campaign of another is just the programming that the "two-party-only system" has generated in an attempt to spoil the chances of Americans actually voting their conscience as the founding Fathers had intended.
1- Ralph Nader ran in 2000 and 2004 in elections that have been recorded as the most corrupted and spoiled in American history. two of the most egregious a…

CSpam has been compromised, or shall I say is a compromise.
CSPAN almost NEVER places their show schedule on our cable menu. I believe it is that way all across the Homeland.
When a broadcaster wants an audience, they list their shows in advance in guide books and on cable menus (that can be updated realtime).
CSPAN lists shows for hours on end that are titled or detailed things like "A mix of the days events".
Even the CSPAN3 (History) rarely lists their upcoming topics.
Holding a hearing ab…

For seven remarkable years, We've been told that "
we must remember" September eleventh of 2001.
Bombarded by Bumper Stickers, over run with slogans, banners and catch phrases, we have become conditioned to judge what is right and wrong, what is and is not acceptable behavior as Americans by the events of 9/11/01.
From the first hours after that killing spree, our Nation's Leaders implanted the paradigm that we must "never forget" the horrible events of that day.
It was not state…

Response to the Sun-Times article on Airline travel "Security" vs "Theater"-

In Response-
I'd like to interpret the term "Rookie Traveler" as quoted from a "Seasoned Traveler" in this Sun-Times article..
The Rookie Traveler as opposed to the "conditioned (seasoned) Traveler" is one who has yet to be trained into self limiting behaviors not to be expected in a truly free society.
The "Seasoned (trained and c…
